Terms & Conditions
MyMiles is operated by Total Telematics Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales
(Company No. 16128359).
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the MyMiles mobile application (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide to us is accurate and current.
2. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at mymiles@totaltelematics.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
3. Licence to use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purpose of recording and reporting your own mileage. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, sub-licence, rent, or otherwise distribute the App.
4. Subscription and free trial
Access to the full features of the App requires a paid subscription. New users receive a 7-day free trial. No payment is taken during the trial period. At the end of the trial, your subscription automatically converts to a paid monthly plan at £3.99 per month unless you cancel before the trial ends. The free trial is available once per Apple ID or Google account and is only available to first-time subscribers. By starting your free trial or purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge that access to the App begins immediately and you expressly request that we begin performance of the contract before the end of the 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. You acknowledge that, as a result, you will lose your statutory right to cancel once the service has begun, but retain your right to cancel an ongoing subscription as set out in section 6 below.
5. Billing and payment
Subscriptions are billed monthly and processed by Apple (via the App Store) or Google (via Google Play), depending on the platform you use. Payment is charged to the payment method linked to your App Store or Google Play account at the end of the free trial and on each monthly renewal date thereafter. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. We will provide reasonable notice of any price increase before it takes effect, and you will have the opportunity to cancel before the new price applies. All prices include VAT where applicable.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you will retain access to the App until that date. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for unused portions of a billing period. Deleting the App from your device does not cancel your subscription — you must cancel through your App Store or Play Store account settings. To avoid being charged, you must cancel before your free trial ends.
7. Refunds
All subscription payments are processed by Apple or Google. Refund requests are therefore subject to Apple's or Google's own refund policies, as applicable. We do not have access to your payment information and are not able to issue refunds directly. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact Apple Support (support.apple.com) or Google Play Support (support.google.com/googleplay). Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the App for unlawful purposes or to submit false or misleading mileage records; (b) interfere with the App's operation, security, or integrity; (c) attempt to access another user's account or data; (d) use automated means to access or scrape the App; or (e) circumvent any usage limits or restrictions.
9. HMRC mileage calculations
The App calculates indicative HMRC Approved Mileage Allowance Payments (AMAP) using rates we believe to be current at the time of calculation. These figures are estimates intended to assist with record-keeping. You are solely responsible for: (a) the accuracy of the data you record (including correctly classifying trips as Business, Commuting, or Private); (b) verifying current HMRC rates and rules; and (c) the content of any tax return, expense claim, or submission you make. We are not your tax adviser. If you are uncertain about your tax position, please consult a qualified accountant or HMRC.
10. Service availability
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will not be lost. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without notice.
11. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services including Google Firebase (authentication and data storage), Apple Maps / Google Maps (mapping), and payment processing by Apple or Google. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses, including loss of profit, loss of data, or unsuccessful HMRC claims arising from use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. On termination, the licence in section 3 ends. Any active subscription will not be automatically cancelled — you must cancel it via your App Store or Play Store account settings. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be notified within the App or by email. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
